Flowers in Japan, April 2010

Crochet Course
I'm attending a crochet class every Thursday morning. Audrey, the teacher, is absolutely lovely and I'm really enjoying it. I made a Beanie hat with Aran yarn, and Audrey gave me flowers to decorate it.

WMF Horizontal Vegetable Peeler
Looks stylish, but I was quite disappointed when I held it. The handle is not very comfortable. But when I started to use it, I felt a bit happier as it's very sharp and easy to use!

My Friend's Wedding
A friend of mine who lives in Vancouver got married in Ireland. I felt honoured to be there to celebrate the beginning of their new life as a married couple. The wedding reception was held at Beaufield Mews, where we had our wedding reception nine years ago!

Lipton Russian Earl Gray Tea Bags
This tea is available only in France. I have no idea why. Lipton is an English company, it's "Russian", and French people are not big tea drinkers. I have been trying to cut down the amount of tea and coffee intake since the beginning of this year, but I have to enjoy this tea every so often (and Darjeeling tea, too)!

日本でいう「ロシアン・ティー」は、紅茶にジャムを入れて飲むもの（だったと思う）だけど、ロシア人に聞いたらそんなことはしないそうだ。紅茶にジャムを入れるのではなく、ジャムを食べながら（！！）飲むんだって。でもこの紅茶はジャムの味ではなくレモンの風味がする。

It was Britain's 1996 Eurovision entry song. I hadn't heard this song for a long long time until when I happened to see it on one of the TV music stations. It's a catchy song and I kind of like it.
若い頃はイモ女子大生・イモ女子大学院生をしてたのでこんな感じで「ワクワクしながら夜の街に繰り出す」みたいなことは関係ない世界に生きてた。今から思うとこういうのやってみたかったなー（ちょっとくらいは）、と思ったりして。
