80s' Long Forgotton Music

While holidaying in Florida, I happened to listen to one of the radio stations which was having a 80s' weekend and playing nothing but 80s' music. As I listened to a lot of American 80s' music in my early teens, this was a bliss! And as lots of American 80s' music didn't make it in the European charts, I hadn't listened to many of them for years and years. The Irish radio just wouldn't play these songs. Songs like 'Jeopardy' (by Greg Kihn Band) or 'Sunglasses at Night' (by Corey Hart) had completely disappeared from my memory. But when I heard them on the car radio, I suddenly remembered my teenage self who was passionately watching the music videos of these songs.

高校生の頃はテレビ「ベストヒットUSA」でビルボードチャートを追い、雑誌『ミュージックライフ』をバイブルのように隅から隅まで読んだものであった。この雑誌はやたらヘビメタ関連の記事が多く、ヘビメタは全然聞かないのにやたらと情報には私は詳しかったのであった。マイケル／ルドルフ・シェンカ―兄弟とか、レインボウとか（苦笑）。

This bakery near St. James's Hospital does really nice cakes. It's 2.5 euro each, but if you buy 3, it's 6 euro. Every time I have to go to the hospital, I go there to cheer me up.

Oven Glove

Made an oven glove with a fabric with Nijntje (Miffy) images I had brought from Japan. Even though Miffy is a Dutch picture book character, it's very popular in Japan.

Knitting Club

Formed a Knitting Club with 2 of my husband's female colleagues. We gathered in a house in Blackrock as our club's first activities. I had been enjoying knitting and crocheting in a self-complacency way, but it was such an inspiration to see other people knit/crochet a lot better. I have to improve my skill. There's a lot to go....

Departures

Went to see a Japanese film called 'Departures' which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 2009 Oscars. It was a lovely film and everybody was crying.

音楽も良かった。久石譲（海外で上映される映画の音楽はこの人ばかりか？）。
