Bittersweet Days...

 

Shiro has been in a stable condition,

and we are so grateful for this.

シローの健康状態は

安定していてありがたい。

Miffy is happy as usual.

ミッフィーは相変わらず

幸せそうでうれしい。

However, I had a fall in the bedroom

(by tripping over a dog bed)

and broke my left wrist....

(I'm writing this blog

only with my right hand.)

しかしながら、

私が怪我をしてしまった。

寝室で犬用ベッドに躓いて

転倒し、

左手首を複雑骨折...。

（このブログも右手だけで

書いている。）

The operation was successful,

so I just have to be patient

until it heals....

手術も上手くいったし、

あとは治るまで

時間との戦い。

But it's much more difficult to

walk the 2 dogs on my own, now.

Everybody, be careful,

this is a very common injury.

でも、片手で犬2匹を

散歩に連れて行くのは

本当に大変である。

よくある怪我なので、

皆さんも気をつけて！

I'm grateful it was my left wrist,

as I'm right-handed.

利き腕の右手じゃなくて

本当に幸運だった。

My husband ordered sushi for one dinner

to cheer me up.

私を元気付けるために

夫が取ってくれた寿司。

More Holy Well

 

I have been very busy with work again,

so I have not done many things

apart from working and daily chores.

But I had one free weekend,

so we made a day trip to Trim, Co. Meath.

またまた仕事が忙しくなり、

ここ3週間くらいは

仕事と家事と犬の世話以外

ほとんど何もしなかった。

ただ、奇跡的に

比較的時間のある週末があったので

ミース県のトリムまで

ドライブ旅行した。

Trim Castle

トリム城

We didn't really visit the castle.

お城は外から見ただけである。

After having a picnic near the castle,

we looked for a holy well in a nearby place

called Kildalkey.

お城の近くの公園で

持っていったサンドウィッチで

ピクニックランチを済ますと、

近くにある聖なる井戸を探しに行った。

We found a holy well called

"St. Dympna’s Well".

聖ディンプナの井戸という

聖なる井戸を見に行った。

The water is supposed to have healing powers,

but the well water was out of reach.

井戸の水には治癒の力があると

説明があったが、

水を汲むことはできなかった。
