It Is a Strange Time

Covid-19 madness shows no sign to slow down.

All the pubs are closed and other shops are closing.

But life goes on and we have to cope.

コロナウィルス問題は沈静化する様子はない。

パブはすべて閉鎖され、他の店も次々に閉まっている。

冷静に対応するしかない。

17 March is St Patrick's Day.

Ordinarily there are parades all over the country.

However, all the events are cancelled this year.

3月17日はアイルランドの聖人

聖パトリックの日で

国中でパレードがあるのだが、

今年はすべて中止である。

Instead of staying indoors on the warm St. Patrick's Day,

we drove to Portrane and went for a walk.

本来なら家にいるべきなのだろうが、

人混みを避ければ出かけてもいいと考え、

その日はビーチに行き犬達と散歩した。

The following day is my birthday.

翌日の18日は私の誕生日だ。

I bought these to make a washing hands experience

more enjoyable.

手洗いをもっと楽しくできるように

ハンドウォッシュとハンドクリームを購入。

My husband bought me the flowers 

and the pyjamas.

(I had requested the pyjamas.)

夫が花とパジャマをプレゼントしてくれた。

（パジャマは私がリクエストした。）

The doggies also got a present (apple skin),

even though it's not their birthday.

犬達も誕生日ではないのに

プレゼント（りんごの皮）をもらっていた。
