Lovely (Double) Rainbow and New Harnesses

 I saw a beautiful rainbow in the blue sky

during one morning doggie walk.

毎日の日課の午前中の犬散歩中に

虹を見た。

青空に虹というちょっと変わった

コンビネーションだ。

Bought "Puppia" harnesses for the doggies,

as Shiro got so thin that the one we'd been

using for him got too small.

And they looked a bit old, too.

「Puppia」ブランドのハーネスを

犬達のために新調した。

シローが痩せてしまったので

今までのが合わなくなってしまったのと

古くなってしまったからである。

the doggies are so hairy that

the harnesses are almost invisible 😅

犬達は毛深いので

ハーネスは殆ど見えない 😅

I also bought some plants for spring.

I had to buy them from Northern Ireland

as I couldn't find any shop

in Ireland to sell these.

春に向けて花も買った。

本当はアイルランドの店を

応援したいところだが、

色々探したけど

結局北アイルランドの店しか

ほしい花が売ってなかった。

Having a nap together in the sunroom.

サンルームで仲良くお昼寝中。

Just Before the Re-Lockdown...

 

We are going to have another nationwide 

lockdown from Thursday 22nd October.

We can't see the exit yet....

10月22日から6週間

またロックダウンが始まる。

トンネルの出口が全然見えない。

I made jam with home grown

raspberries, using a bread maker

for the first time.

庭で育てているラズベリーを使って

ジャムを作った。

今回初めてホームベーカリーを

使ってみた。

I think it worked out.

上手く行ったと思う。

I made chocolate rice crispy squares.

Chocolate rice crispy squareも作った

Also made a brack (for Halloween).

毎年この時期恒例のブラックも作った。

Shiro is still enjoying his walks😀

シローはまだまだ頑張っている。

お散歩も楽しんでいる。

We saw a sika deer in the Dublin Mountain.

シカを山で見た。

Miffy enjoys chewing her favourite toy.

お気に入りのおもちゃを

カミカミするミッフィー。

I suppose we have to continue the fight

against Covid-19....

It's Already Mid-October before You Know It

 

I cannot believe the last I posted a blog was 

more than a month ago 😱

最後にブログを書いたのは1ヶ月以上も

前だったとは信じられない 😱

I have been busy everyday with

work, dog walks, making masks and house chores....

毎日毎日、仕事したり

犬散歩したり

マスク作ったり

家事したりと

あっという間に日々が過ぎて行く

I am very grateful Shiro is still going strong,

7 months after being told that

we may have to make a decision soon.

ありがたいことにシローも

3月に獣医に

「覚悟を決める日も遠くない」

と言われてから7ヶ月も経ってるのに

悪化せずに現状維持を続けている。

On an unusually hot & sunny Sunday.

珍しく晴れて暑かったある日曜日。

Bought a sushi dinner from 

a Japanese sushi chef

who lives in the neighbourhood.

 近所に住む日本人の寿司職人の方

からお寿司を買って

夕食にした。

Sunflower seeds which magically appeared 

in our garden grew and had

beautiful flowers.

夫も私も蒔いた覚えのない

ヒマワリのタネが

なぜか庭から育ち始め

きれいな花をつけた

An encounter with somebody's 

pet pig.

Time flies....

時間の経つのが早すぎる

And the situation with Covid-19 is not

getting better at all....

コロナ禍も収束どころか

拡大する一方である...。
