This is my first time.

台湾にやって来た！

今回が初めてだ。

I can't get over how many mopeds are on the road.

原付自動車の数の多さに圧倒されている。

Osaka Mint Cherry Blossom Viewing

I'm in Osaka, Japan now on an annual trip home.

For the first time since we left last May.

今大阪に帰省中。

昨年の5月にアイルランドに戻ってから初めての日本。

Went to Osaka Mint to do "Cherry Blossom Viewing".

大阪造幣局の桜の通り抜けを体験。

Then we visited the garden of "Fujita Museum of Art" nearby.

その後旧藤田邸庭園を訪問。

 

First Weekend of April

Mini cherry blossom viewing ("ohanami") in Blackrock.

近所の公園でミニお花見。

With hyacinths.

ヒアシンスと。 

Encountered people trying to get a crutch stuck in the tree,

 and a stick which got stuck 

while they were trying to get the crutch down.

But why was a crutch stuck up in the tree

in the first place???

Anyway, they successfully got both down.

木に引っかかった松葉杖と、

それを落とすために使用した

犬と遊ぶためのボールを投げる棒を

木からおろそうとしているしている人々を

公園で目撃。

そもそも何で松葉杖が木に引っかかっているのだ？

（結局、松葉杖も棒も無事に落ちて来た。）

At night, we went to Howth for Geocaching.

But it was dark (naturally), cold and rainy,

so we gave up after a while...

夜にはHowthにジオキャッシングにでかけたが、

暗い（当然）し寒いし雨になったので、

しばらくして諦めた。

On Sunday, I joined a miso working workshop.

翌日曜は手作り味噌のワークショップに参加。

久しぶりに日本人女性達とおしゃべりできて楽しかった。

Killiney Hill Before Dinner

Summertime started on Sunday,

and days are getting longer day by day.

It's still bright after my husband comes home,

so we went out to Killiney hill before dinner.

日曜日に夏時間が始まり、

日照時間がどんどん長くなっている。

夫が仕事から帰った後もまだ明るいので、

今日は夕食の前にキライニーの丘を散歩。

Today was the last crochet class of the term.

Next term starts in September.

今日で今期のかぎ針編みのクラスは終わり。

来期は9月から始まる。

The Beginning of Spring

I wrote 1st February is the first day of spring,

but really, 1st April WAS the first day of spring.

Today was the first day with a cap, not with a wooly hat!!

以前2月1日が春の始まりだと書いたが、

4月1日の今日が春の始まり！

今日初めて毛糸の帽子ではなく

夏用のキャップで散歩に出た。

O hanami!

Got belated birthday presents from

my husband's sister and her husband.

義妹夫妻から少し遅めの
