(Still Cold) May Morning Walk

It's still cold, even though May is supposed to be the beginning of 

summer in Ireland.

５月に入ってもまだまだ寒い。

アイルランドの伝統的な暦では夏だというのに。

The dogs don't seem to mind, though.

でも犬達は気にしてない模様。

Brief encounter with another doggy.

放牧中の他のワンちゃんに遭遇。

ワンワンワン...。

Shiro welcomes me with Minnie Mouse

when I came home from shopping.

買い物から帰って来たら

シローはミニーマウスとお出迎え。

Miffy plays with her favourite doggy toy

after it went through another surgery.

 ミッフィーはお気に入りのヌイグルミと遊ぶ。

このヌイグルミは昨日また縫合手術をした（苦笑）。

Please, please weather, get better, please!

Spitz Panini

A friend of mine gave me these charms which she bought in Japan.

日本から帰ってきた友人からお土産にいただいた。

And I finished Shiro's harness.

そしてシローのハーネス完成。

Out of Fuel....

The winter is back.

It's cold (again)!

And I got a stomach bug and was confined to bed for 3 days.

It was very miserable....

冬が舞い戻ってきた😭。

寒い。

その上週末に胃腸風邪をやってしまい、

３日間何も食べずに寝込んでしまった。

What I did before I became out of service:

元気な時にやったこと：

Playing tennis

(Shiro is the ball boy.)

テニス！

（ボールボーイはシロー。）

Made Miffy's new harness.

ミッフィーのハーネス製作。

Finished my own jumper.

The model is this one.

このセーターを参考に

自分のセーターを作成。

Fortunately or unfortunately,

it's still cold enough for this thick jumper.

I used 24 balls of 100g Noro Kureyon!!

幸か不幸か、こちらはまだまだ寒く、

この重いセーターを着る機会はありそう😰。

100gの野呂くれよんを23玉も使用した。

I'm still a bit weak, but getting there.

まだ貧血気味だけど、徐々に体力回復中。

Marlay Park

It looks like winter might be finally over!

I took the doggies to Marlay Park.

やっと春の兆しが見え始めたようだ。

せっかくいいお天気なので犬たちを連れて

Marlay Parkへ。

This spring has been so cold that

there are still daffodils and cherry blossoms in bloom.

今年の春は本当に寒いので

４月後半になっても水仙や桜がさいている。

安心してください、咲いてますよ。

（↑意味不明！）

As is clearly seen in these photos,

Miffy is better at posing for the camera.

写真からもわかるように、

ミッフィーの方が写真撮影がお得意。

Shiro the Lawnmower.

草むしり中のシロー。

Encountered a Japanese spitz boy called

"Romeo".

ロミオ君という日本スピッツにも遭遇。

Grateful for a peaceful day.

今日も無事に楽しく過ごせて感謝。

Miffy's interested in a spitz on the TV.

TVに映るスピッツに釘付けのミッフィー。

Everybody in the crochet class made granny squares 

for this blanket for Rita,

who can't come to the class any more because of her health.

編み物のクラスの参加者全員がすこしずつ

スクエアと作ってできたブランケット。

健康上の理由でクラスに来れなくなったリタへのプレゼント。

In the evening, my husband & I took part in a pub quiz

for raising money for a local school.

夜は、パブクイズに夫と共に参加。

Our team (we and another couple)won!

結果は見事優勝。

We also won vouchers for petrol in the raffles.

ラッフルでは40ユーロ分のガソリン券も当たった😊

Spring Is Just Around the Corner (I Hope)

It's still very cold!

When we take the doggies out for an evening walk,

our breath is white and we still need a hat, a scarf and gloves.

４月に入ったというのにまだまだ寒い。

夕食後の犬達との散歩中は息は白いし

帽子、手袋、マフラーが必要だ。

However, days are getting longer and

we have started get more sunshine during the day.

でも日は長くなって来たし

日中は太陽が出ることも多くなった。

So the doggies have started to relax in the garden.

犬達も日中は庭でゆっくりすることが増えた。

The walls and the ground of the garden

are very mossy after the wet winter.

Removing the moss is a task for spring....

長くて雨の多かった冬の後なので

庭の壁や地面が苔だらけ😭。

苔掃除が春のお仕事だな。

I made another harness for Shiro.

シロー用にまたハーネスを編んだ。

　I'm very happy with what I made,

though Shiro doesn't seem to be....

私はその出来に大満足だが、

シローは非常に不満そう...。

I'll make another for Miffy!
