Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park

We drove up to Northern Ireland to visit the rose garden in

Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park.

有名なバラ園を見に北アイルランドの

Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon 公園まで行ってきた。

  ダイアナ妃を追悼するバラ園もある。

北アイルランドの国歌（国じゃないけど）

でもある"Danny Boy"と名付けられたバラ。

There is also a lovely display of wild flowers.

自然に咲く花々がディスプレイされている箇所もある。

When we came back to the carpark,

Miffy wanted to go into somebody else's car.

She's normally very good at identifying our car.

I wonder her previous owner drove the same car as this....

ミッフィーは私達の車を見つけるのが得意だが、

何故かこの日は他の人の車に乗りたがった。

もしかして保護センターに送られる前に

飼われていた家ではこれと同じ車を使っていたのかも...。

Rainbow (& Apricot Preserve)

We've been having unstable weather for the past couple of days.

Perfect condition for rainbow!

晴れたり雨が降ったりと言う不安定な天気が続いている。

でもこれは虹には最適！

I made apricot preserve using Delia's recipe.

Jam/preserve making is my hobby at the moment.

Shiro had his stitches removed.

シローも手術の抜糸が終わった。

Kumquat Jam

I found some kumquats in Dunnes Stores in Cornelscourt,

so I had to buy them.

And I made jam.

珍しく金柑をスーパーマーケットで見つけたので

購入してジャムを作ってみた。

The first passion flower opened this morning.

今年最初のパッションフラワーが今朝開いた。

The doggies today.

今日の犬達。

Miffy carefully watching Shiro eat his breakfast.

(She had already finished hers!)

ミッフィーはシローが朝食を食べるのを観察する。

（自分の分はとっくに食べ終わっている。）

Frog!

As the vet said we could take Shiro for a short hill walking,

I took the doggies out to Killiney Hill.

獣医さんからのお許しも出たので

シローをミッフィーと一緒にKilliney Hillへの散歩に連れて行った。

However, Miffy stopped following us,

and kept staring something at the bottom of a tree.

駐車場を出てすぐ、

ミッフィーが木の根元を見つめたまま動かなくなった。

I went back to her and noticed

Miffy was fascinated by a frog!

近づいてみると

ミッフィーが凝視しているのはカエルであった。

I didn't know frogs squeak.
カエルがこんな声で鳴くとは知らなかった。



In the end, I forced them to walk up the hill
and when we came down, the frog was gone.

無理やり犬達をカエルから引き離して丘を登り、
頂上から降りて来た時にはもうカエルはいなかった。

Another morning glory opened.
別の色の朝顔が咲いた。

A pepper flowered opened this morning.
I grew this from seeds from one of the peppers
I bought at a supermarket.

パプリカの花が咲いた。
これはスーパーで買ったパプリカから取った
タネを植えて育てたものだ。

Let's see if we can harvest a pepper or not.

パプリカがなるかどうか楽しみ。

Rose Festival at St. Anne's Park

We had a brief outing to Raheny to

see the Rose Festival at St. Anne's Park.

(We couldn't go out for a long time

as Shiro is still recovering from the surgery.)

バラ祭りにちょっとだけ出かけて来た。

（シローが手術からまだ回復中なので

長時間のお出かけはできない。）

The doggies were staring at me

when I went away to take rose photos.

犬達から離れたところで

バラの写真を撮っていたら

犬達がガン見していた😆。

We made Miffy sit on the carved wooden throne.

We tried it before, but it didn't work out last time.

ミッフィーを木の椅子に座らせる。

以前もやってみたがその時は即座に飛び降りた。

It's a lovely summer day.

今日の犬達。

夏らしい暑い日。
