When Things Are Normal

We need to appreciate what we can do on a normal day.

普段何気ないことにでもそれができることに感謝。

Even though Miffy dug the garden and got dirty,

as this means she's well and happy!

ミッフィーが花壇をホリホリして汚くなったとしても。

なぜならそんなイタズラができるほどミッフィーは元気だから。

It's great to see the doggies sleep contentedly.

幸せそうに眠る犬達を見ると私も幸せな気持ちになる。

I made these things during the past week.

I am grateful that I have time & energy to be able to do this.

この１週間でこれらのものを作った。

これらのものを作れる時間と体力があることに感謝。

Shiro is at the vet's now.

His benign lump on the back of neck ruptured,

and he had a surgery to remove it.

My husband & I were quite concerned--

he's 10 and a half now 

and having a general anaesthetic might affect him badly.

The surgery itself went well,

and I am going to pick him up later.

But he will have to suffer the pain for a while....

I am upset, but I should be grateful

he survived.

シローは今獣医にいる。

首の後ろにある良性の腫瘍が破裂してしまったので

それを取り除くための手術をしたからだ。

１０歳半の老犬のシローが

全身麻酔に耐えられる保証はないので

夫と私は手術には躊躇したが、

信頼する先生の推奨により手術を受けさせた。

手術は無事に終わり、

この後シローを迎えに行く予定。

この後シローは痛いのを我慢しなければならない。

無事に終わったことに感謝。
