The weather has been quite nice during the lockdown.
It's a kind of typical we have beautiful weather when we can't go out.
ロックダウンが始まってから
結構いいお天気が続いている。
「やはりな...。」
We weren't able to acquire some of Shiro's medication
before they ran out because of the lockdown.
As a result, Shiro's condition deteriorated rapidly,
and I took him to the emergency vet under the same vet brand.
ロックダウンのせいで
シローが常用している心臓の薬の一部を入手できず、
薬なしの日が2日くらい続いた。
そのせいか、シローの病状が一気に悪化し、
同じ系列だが違う場所にある獣医さんに慌てて連れて行った。
The female vet said Shiro's is having a serious heart failure,
and our beautiful boy could go any time.
She gave him some emergency treatment to see
if this would work.
女性の獣医さんによると
シローの心臓はかなり弱っていて
このままではシローの命は長くないということだった。
一か八か延命用の治療と注射をやっていただいた。
And I was able to acquire the necessary medication as well.
I bought 30 days' medication,
but she said I may not need to buy 30 days' medicine....
足りなくなっていた薬も入手できた。
30日分購入したのだが、
30日分も必要ない可能性の方が高い
と獣医さんに言われた。
However, Shiro was a different dog the following day.
His appetite came back,
he was willing to go for a walk,
and he even wanted to play with some toys!
しかしながらその翌日、
シローは復活したのであった！
食欲も少し戻り、散歩も喜んで出かけ、
おもちゃで遊ぶまで元気になってくれた。
Maybe the treatment the vet gave worked.
Or the medication worked.
The vet kindly phoned us a few days later,
to see how Shiro was,
and she was delighted to hear what I said.
獣医さんによる延命治療が効いたのか、
また、無くなった薬を飲みだしたのが良かったのか。
数日後獣医さんが親切に電話してくれ、
私がシローの様子を伝えると本当に喜んでくれた。
