I'm in Antalya, Turkey for work.

Quite warm

仕事でトルコのアンタルヤにいる。

結構暖かい。

A Brown Cousin and a Big Cousin

On a lovely warm Sunday,

we went to Shanganagh Park for a walk.

We met "Dash" the Shiba dog,

kind of doggy cousin as it's a Japanese dog.

暖かい日曜の午前中、

シャンガナ公園に散歩に出かけた。

ドッグランでは「ダッシュ」くんとう

柴犬に遭遇！

同じ日本犬ということで茶色いイトコ！

And met a Samoyed at Shanganagh Beach.

そしてシャンガナビーチでサモエドに遭遇。

Went to Maxi Zoo on our way home 

to buy a dog shampoo.

帰りにMaxi Zooに寄って

犬用シャンプーを購入。

The dogs were washed this afternoon.

Passtimes

I went to the crochet class this morning,

as usual Thursday morning.

I briefly thought maybe I should skip it 

to prepare for next week's work,

but I decided I needed a bit of time off.

午前中は恒例の木曜の編み物のクラスに行った。

仕事の準備が忙しいので、

今日は休もうかとも考えたけど、

気晴らしも必要だ思い直し、行って来た。

And I'm so glad I went.

行ってよかった。

楽しかった。

After I came home, I had to do some urgent translation work.

I was a bit stressed out as a result.

But the weather was lovely and warm,

so I thought I needed another time off.

帰宅後、緊急の翻訳の仕事が入った。

予定外だったし緊急のものだったので、

少しストレスがたまりぐったり。

でも、天気もよかったし

再度気晴らしが必要だと決定。

So off we went to a nearby park with the dogs.

それで犬達と近くの公園に散歩に出かけた。

Shiro didn't want to go home after the walk...

公園での散歩が終っても帰りたがらないシロー（苦笑）。

I wish I could spend more time walking with you...

Friends... Almost

For some reason, the doggies get friendly with each other

when I brush them.

犬達はブラッシングの時になると

何故かとても仲良しになる。

I wish they would be like this all the time....

いつもこれくらい仲良しだったらもっと嬉しい。

Spring!

I wrote that February is the beginning of spring in Ireland,

but in reality, March is the beginning of spring.

Daffodils are lovely in the fields.

以前、アイルランドでは2月から春だと書いたが、

やはり実際は3月が春の始まりだと思う。

野原に水仙が咲いている。

I bought a kumquat tree in Aldi last week.

Very rare to see this in Ireland.

先週ドイツ系格安スーパーAldiで

キンカンの木を購入。

アイルランドではキンカンの実は売ってないので

何とか頑張って育てて毎年収穫できれば嬉しいが。

I've been studying quite hard to prepare for

a big (difficult) work next week.

I haven't studied like this since 2012

when I took a French language exam in Japan.

Shiro has been a moral support.

He makes sure to lie down near me in the study,

and stay there while I'm studying.

来週ちょっと大変な仕事が入っているので、

そのための準備で今一生懸命勉強している。

こんなに勉強するのは、

2年前に日本でフランス語検定を受けた時以来だ。

書斎で勉強していると

シローが必ず一緒に来てずっと側にいてくれる。

見守ってくれているのか。

そして今日は眠りながら

足をカサカサと動かしていた。

野原で駆け回っている夢でも見てたのかな（笑）。

 

Days Are Getting Longer

It used to be already dark at 4.30 pm about a month ago,

but it was still bright after 5.30 pm today!

1ヶ月程前までは午後4時半にはもう真っ暗だったが、

今日は午後5時半を過ぎても明るかった。

So I put Miffy on the garden table and took a few photos

with blue sky in the background ;-))

せっかくなのでミッフィーをガーデンテーブルの上にのせ、

青空を背景にして写真を撮ってみた（笑）。

It looks like Miffy has horns on the head :-)

The First Day of March

The first day of March started with a lovely sunny morning.

So we decided to have breakfast in the garden!!

(It was a bit cold and I had to use a blanket.)

3月の第一日目は暖かい晴れた朝で始まった。

ということで、夫の提案により庭で朝食！

（やはり少し寒かったのでブランケット使用。）

But it rained later (of course).

勿論1日中いい天気のはずがなく、

その後雨になった。

 You can't take the walrus with you for a walk, Shiro!

シロー、セイウチは散歩には連れていけないよ。

 I've already seen about 10 rainbows this year.

雨と晴れがしょっちゅう来るので、

今年に入って虹はもう10回は見た。
