Cycling in Daisen Park

Today we went to Daisen Park with our guests,

rented bicycles and cycled around near there.

今日は大仙陵古墳（仁徳天皇陵）の近くにある

 大仙公園に行き、自転車をレンタルした。

While Jonathan and the girls went geocaching,

myself, Claire and my husband went to the Japanese Garden.

ジョナサンと子供達がジオキャッシングしている間、

私と夫とクレアは日本庭園に行った。

For lunch, we went to a restaurant nearby.

The girls tried "Hotcakes" and they loved it.

お昼には近くのレストランに行った。

 日本のホットケーキを初体験した子供達。

とっても気に入ったようだ。

Before returning the bikes, 

we visited Itasuke Tumulus

where a family of tanukis (raccoon dogs) live.

Naturally, our guests had never seen 

tanukis before and were very excited. 

自転車を返却する前に、

狸をみるためにいたすけ古墳に寄った。 

欧州には狸はいないので、

友人一家にとっては初めての狸！

Even though it started to rain late in the afternoon,

we had a great time cycling around.

夕方から雨になったけど、

本格的に降り始める前に自転車を返却できた。

友人一家と私の生まれ故郷を

一緒に自転車で走り回れるなんて

夢にも思ってなかった。   

楽しかった！ 

After we arrived home, 

we took the dogs out for a walk in the rain.

友人一家は犬がレインコートを来てることに

大笑いしていた（笑）。
