Knocksink Wood--Spitz Encounter

Went for our (probably) last forest walk this year

in Knocksink Wood near Enniskerry.

Enniskerry の近くにある Knocksink に

恐らく今年最後の森でのお散歩に出かけた。

Then we encountered a 10-year-old girl spitz called "Puffin"!

そして 10 歳になるスピッツの女の子「パフィンちゃん」に遭遇！

These are terrible photos (sorry!)

as I used my smartphone....

薄暗い場所でスマートフォンで撮影したので

酷い写真ばかりで残念（涙）。

Puffin (probably) came from the same breeder

where Shiro came from.

So maybe she's Shiro's brother!?

パフィンちゃんは恐らく

シローと同じブリーダーさんのところから来た

と思われるので

もしかしたらシローのお姉さんかも！？

The doggies got their belated Christmas presents today.

They came from IKEA.

犬達のために今日やっと遅めのクリスマスプレゼント

IKEA でを購入。

Shiro still seems to prefer his all time favourite Seal.

シロー（家政婦は見た状態）は相変わらずアザラシがお気に入り。

Christmas Holiday in Antrim

We went away for 2 nights in Co. Antrim.

Stayed in the same guest house we had stayed 3 years ago.

２泊３日で北アイルランドのアントリムに行って来た。

３年前と同じゲストハウスにお世話になった。

I went shopping (and bought nothing) in Belfast.

ベルファーストに買い物に行ったが結局何も買わなかった。

where Queen stays when she visits Northern Ireland.

エリザベス女王が北アイルランドを訪問する際に

滞在する Hillsborough Castle の前で。

The dogs are not allowed in the castle site,

so we went for a walk around the lake near the castle.

犬達はお城に入れないので、

その代わり近くにある湖周辺を散歩。

Needless to say, we visited Sainsbury and The Outlet.

言うまでもなくセインズベリーとアウトレットにも行った。

セインズベリーでは食材の他に

ソーイング関係の雑誌（雑誌・新聞は北アイルランドの方が安い）、

アウトレットでは犬散歩用のジャケット購入。

Christmas 2016

It was a windy but quite warm Christmas Day.

We climbed Bray Head.

風が強かったが異様に暖かいクリスマスだった。

まず Bray Head に登った。

There was a small rainbow.

小さな虹が見える。

At home my husband cooked a duck for Christmas dinner.

It was delicious!

家では夫がクリスマス用にダックをローストしてくれた。

美味しかった！

Santa hasn't visited our hairy friends yet....

犬達にはまだサンタさんは来てない...。

But we made them listen to this:

Christmas Eve 2016

Went to Donabate Beach after Hurricane Barbara had calmed down.

ハリケーン・バーバラが静まった後、Donabate の海岸に散歩に行った。

At home I made four mince pies

using 6-year-old vintage mincemeat.

家では６年物のビンテージの

ミンスミートを使ってミンスパイを４つだけ作った。

Last Weekend Before Christmas

We didn't really do Christmas shopping....

Can we survive...?

クリスマス前の最後の週末なのに

クリスマス用の買い物も全然しなかった。

大丈夫なんだろうか？

We went for a walk in Rathfarnham Castle.

The Flowerbed

It's small, but I'm delighted to have a flowerbed in the garden now.

I planted some primroses and violas.

小さいけれどやっと庭に花壇ができた。

さっそくプリムローズとすみれを植えてみた。

It's difficult to see but there are some raspberry bushes planted as well.

見えにくいがラズベリーも植えてある。

We haven't bought presents for the doggies yet, though.....

犬達にはまだプレゼント買ってないけど...。
