England and Back

Went to England on a bullet trip

to attend my husband's aunt's funeral.

It is a sad occasion, but it is also an occasion

to meet up with his relatives and cousins

we don't normally get to see.

夫の叔母（姑の姉）の葬儀のため、

イギリスに１泊２日で行ってきた。

悲しい時ではあるが、

普段は会えない夫の親戚と会う

機会にもなった。

It was very cold & misty on that day.

This is the church which has the cemetery.

４月にしては異常に寒く霧深い日であった。

叔母が埋葬された墓地のある教会。

We stayed with a friend of my husband's cousin

whose mother passed away.

The house is enormous!

I've never seen such a big bathroom

in somebody's private house apart from a hotel bathroom!

夫の従姉（亡くなった叔母さんの娘）

の友人宅に泊まらせていただいたのだが、

ものすごい大きなお屋敷だった（苦笑）。

ホテル以外であんなに大きなバスルームは

見たことがない（汗）。

イギリスのお金持ちはケタが違いすぎる...。

The dinner we had at Gatwick Airport.

It wasn't bad at all.

ガトウィック空港で食べた夕食。

結構美味しくてビックリ。

We were away only for 1 night,

but when we came back,

the tulips in the garden had opened.

Even though it's still freezing cold,

flowers know it's April!

帰宅した翌朝庭に出てみると

チューリップが咲いていた。

まだまだ寒いが、

花はもう４月だということをちゃんと知っている。

Miffy got injured on the day we left for England.

イギリスに出発する直前、

ミッフィーが足を引きずり始めた。

I left a painkiller with my husband's father just in case.

And Miffy was fine when we came back!🤗

念のために犬達の面倒を見てくれた義父に

痛み止めを預けて行ったが、

それを使う必要もなくミッフィーは回復したそうだ🤗
