Mt Takao & Showa Memorial Park

Today we visited Mt. Takao,

the most visited mountain in the world.

Our plan was to get a cable car, walk to the summit,

and walk towards Icchodaira,

and walk back down.

今日は、年間に訪れる人の数が最も多い山

高尾山に行った。

計画としては、頂上近くまでケーブルカーで行き、

頂上まで行ってから一丁平まで往復して

下山するというものだった。

However, after getting off the cable car,

it started raining quite heavily.

We arrived at the summit, 

but abandoned the rest of the plan,

and got a chair lift back.

(The chair lift was a great idea,

I really enjoyed it!)

しかしながら、ケーブルカーを降りて

しばらく歩いているうちに雨が降り出し、

結局はその後の計画を全部取りやめて、

チェアーリフトで下まで降りた。

（チェアーリフトは楽しかったなあ！）

After we had rice balls my aunt had prepared for us

at Takaosanguichi Station,

we decided to go to Showa Memorial Park.

高尾山口駅で叔母が作ってくれた

おにぎりの昼食を食べた後、

昭和記念公園に行くことにした。

We rented bicycles.

At first we rented a tandem bike 

as it looked like fun (and is kind of romantic).

But after a very short time,

we decided we weren't enjoying it,

so we went back and got one bike each 😅

レンタルサイクルを利用してみた。

最初は、面白そうだ（何となくロマンチック）

という理由で二人乗りの自転車をレンタル。

しかし、少し乗った後、

なんか別々の方がいいなあということで、

結局１台ずつに変更 😅

I often read other spitz owners in Japan

walk their dogs in this park,

so I was kind of looking forward to meeting them,

but of course I didn't.

It was an ordinary working day today.

よく、他のスピッツの飼い主さんが

この公園で散歩しておられるとブログで見てたので、

どこかでお会いできるかなあと

期待してたが、今日は普通の平日なんで、

やはり誰もおられなかったのは残念。

Nonetheless, we had a great day!

いずれにせよ、楽しい1日であった！
