October 2019 Is Over....

On the last weekend of October

we visited Constance Markiewicz Park.

I have no idea why this park is

named after a famous Irish female revolutionist,

but the walk in the park was very pleasant.

10月の最終週に

コンスタンツ・マルキエビッチ公園に行った。

何故この公園がアイルランドの有名な

女性革命家の名前がついているのかは謎だが、

いいお天気の日に散歩するのは心地よかった。

Then we went to Asian Market.

My husband bought this.

その後アジアンマーケットに行った。

夫が買ったもの：

Shiro's health has been stable.

シローの心臓の状態は安定している。

Today is Halloween.

A lot of children (& their parents) came to the door😀

今日はハロウィン。

たくさんの子供達（と保護者）が来た😀

Autumn 2019 Is Over....

The brief but exciting autumn is over

with Ireland and Japan gone from the Rugby World Cup.

But the both countries did their best, 

and they turned me into an instant rugby fan.

短かったけど興奮した2019年の秋は、

アイルランドと日本がラグビーW杯から

敗退して終わった。

両国ともベストを尽くして頑張った。

私は今回のW杯ですっかりラグビー🏉ファンになってしまった。

 The doggies supported Ireland.

犬達もアイルランドを応援。

We met up with a friend from Mayo

in Dun Laoghaire and had a lovely walk.

メイヨーの友人がダブリンに来ていたので

Dun Laoghaire を一緒に散歩した。

Harvested a Japanese style pumpkin (kabocha)

from our vegetable garden.

家庭菜園で育てていた

日本風のカボチャを収穫。

It was small but tasty.

小さめだが美味しかった。

Autumn 2019

I don't believe Ireland has proper autumn.

It has only spring and winter 😅

But I'm trying to pretend we have autumn.

私個人の意見であるが、

アイルランドには秋はない！

あるのは春と冬だけだ！

でも、一応秋なので秋を楽しむフリをしている。

Excited that they have both gone to the quarter-final.

ラグビーW杯 🏉でアイルランドと日本を応援。

両方とも準々決勝に行けて本当に嬉しい。

Autumn means rain....

We had a difficult situation 

when Japan and Ireland match was on.

ラグビーW杯！

日本とアイルランドが対戦した時は、

どちらも応援するという微妙な立場だった。

In Howth.

Saw another Japanese spitz

in somebody's garden.

見知らぬ人の家の庭に

日本スピッツ発見。

Made a tissue box case with

Christmas design fabric.

クリスマス柄の布地で

ティッシュボックスケースを作成。

In Cabinteely Park.

Cabinteely 公園にて。

紅葉している。

2019 La Rochelle Holiday -- Overall Impressions

La Rochelle was full of eco friendly 

electric vehicles--busses, boats, bikes, cars...

We were very impressed.

ラ・ロシェルは、

公共の交通機関のバスや船を始め、

レンタル自転車や自動車等

電気式のものが普通に使用されていて

非常に感動した。

素晴らしい！

Also some things are different from 

the cultures we knew in Brittany.

また、私たちに馴染みの深い

ブルターニュとは違った面があって面白かった。

Oysters are very big 

and even butchers were selling them

when the season starts.

オイスターが自慢のようで、

シーズンが始まったら

肉屋の店頭でも売られている。

And "pain au chocolat" is called chocolatine.

Also there is a special brioche called "gâche".

また、パン・オ・ショコラは

ショコラティーヌと呼ばれており、

またご当地自慢のガッシュと呼ばれる

ブリオッシュも存在することを知った。 

Kouign amann I bought in La Rochelle.

ラ・ロシェルで買ったクイニーアマン。

You can press oranges to make orange juice

in supermarkets.

スーパーでは売り物のオレンジを絞って

オレンジジュースにして購入できる。

Marmelo jam.

マルメロ のジャム。

All in all, we really loved the food, the place,

the climate, and the people.

食べ物、風景、気候、そして人々の

すべて気に入った。
