Staycationing in Valentia Island, Co. Kerry 1

 

As we could not go to France for summer,
we decided to go to Kerry, south west of Ireland.

This is the most popular holiday destination in Ireland,

so we weren't able to book any accommodation in summer.

Until now.

毎年夏休みはだいたいフランスに行くのだが、

今年はコロナ禍で海外旅行に行けないので

アイルランド南西のケリー県に行くことにした。

しかしアイルランドで1番人気のある旅行先なので

夏の間中は宿を取ることができなかった。

しかし、学校が始まった今の時期になって

やっと予約が取れた。

We met a family with 3 Japanese spitzes 

in one of the motor way service stations.

道中で寄った高速のサービスエリアで

日本スピッツを3匹連れた家族連れに出くわした！

The baby boy of the family called "Bruce"!

(The other 2 spitzes are in the car.)

末っ子のブルース君！

（残りの2匹は車の中。）

The had one Japanese spitz, and when they heard

a female spitz was abandoned by a breeder

as the breeder thought the dog couldn't have any more babies,

they decided to adopt her.

However, the female spitz was pregnant!

She had 3 babies.

The family kept one boy (Bruce) and

gave away the 2 others.

お話を聞いてみると

この方々は元々スピッツを飼っておられたのだが、

あるスピッツブリーダーが

子供が産めなくなった（と思った）メスを

捨てようとしているのを聞きつけ

引き取ったそうだ。

その時実はそのメスのスピッツは妊娠していて

ある朝3匹の可愛い赤ちゃんを見つけて

びっくりしたそうだ。

結局男の子のスピッツ（ブルース君）を残し、

他の2匹は養子に出したそうだ。
