On Sunday morning, my husband made me very happy
by cooking Japanese style pancakes "Hotcakes",
using an electric cooking plate brought from Japan.
日曜の朝、夫が特別に日本風の「ホットケーキ」
を日本からもってきたホットプレートで作ってくれた。
Shiro started to play with a tennis ball recently.
This is a good sign--he's getting back to his former self.
手術後初めてシローがテニスボールで遊び始めた。
これはいい兆候に違いない。

I made pumpkin cupcakes, using the pumpkin for Halloween.
ハロウィンで使ったパンプキンでカップケーキを作った。
On Sunday afternoon,
we visited my husband's father's house
to bring some of our staff we had left in the shed
before we went to live in Japan.
日曜の午後、義父宅へ行き
日本に住む前に預けていた家財道具等の
一部を取りに行った。
Then, we found 2 singing marmot soft toys
we had bought in Spanish Basque 8 years ago!
そこで、8年前にスペインのバスク地方で
買った「歌うマーモット」のぬいぐるみを
2個発見。
Of course we had to show them to the dogs.
犬達に早速見せてあげた。
