which is the best present for this Christmas.

シローの足も少しずつだが順調に回復中。

今日初めてちょっと長めの散歩に出かけた。

これが１番のクリスマスプレゼントかも。

Gearing Up for Christmas

The Christmas Tree has been decorated.

(We bought the tree at Homease, again.)

What I Made and What I Bought

I bought a legless chair (zaisu), 

which is a bit hard to find in Ireland!!

アイルランドでは珍しい

座椅子を購入！！

Miffy seems to like it, too

as she can stay close to me and the stove.

ストーブ好きなミッフィーも気に入った様子。

My work has calmed down a bit in December,

so I knitted a pair of socks.

I'd never knitted a sock before so I think they're not that bad.

仕事 量が少し落ち着いたので、

靴下を編んでみた。

初めて作った靴下にしてはまあまあの出来だと思う。

I also bought a big box of Tayto crisps for Christmas....

背後にはTayto ポテトチップスのクリスマス用ボックスが...。

Alone with Miffy

As Shiro's not allowed to go for a long walk,

very often I take only Miffy out,

and she seems to be a bit upset for some reason.

シローは手術の後まだ長い散歩に行けないので、

ミッフィーだけを散歩に連れて行くことが多いが、

どうもミッフィーは混乱しているようだ。

When my husband took her out for 

a long drive & walk on Sunday.

日曜日に夫が長い散歩に連れて行こうとした時。

Are you not going???

シローは行かないの？？

But we (or just I?) saw a lovely rainbow yesterday.

でも、昨日はきれいな虹を見たよね、ミッフィー。

A sunny day in between (too many) storms....

Forgot to Mention This....

My work has calmed down a bit,

so I have started craft activities again.

仕事が一段落したので、

また、編み物活動を徐々に再開。

Shiro has been doing fine.

His bandage's gone, but he has to wear a collar now

which he hates....

シローの回復も順調。

包帯は外れたけどその代わりに

カラーをしなきゃいけない。

Such a brave boy, Shiro.

I'm so proud of you.

頑張っているシロー。

偉いよ！

Out of Necessity

Our dogs don't normally wear garments,

but I had to use a clothes for Shiro to stop him 

from interfering with the scar from the surgery.

(I did it last year, too.)

我が家の犬たちは普段は裸族だが、

シローが手術の傷跡を舐めるので、

それを防止するために日本で購入した服を着せてみた。

（去年もやった。）

I'm glad I'm naked! says Miffy.

「私は生まれたままの姿でいいです」ミッフィー。

Thank Everything

Shiro had a surgery for cruciate ligament again.

This time for his left hind leg.

今月、シローはまた靭帯損傷のための手術を受けた。

今度は左後ろ足。

I'm happy Shiro survived the surgery.

I'm happy Shiro's recovering better than last year.

無事に手術を終えたことに感謝。

去年より術後の回復が良好なことに感謝。

I'm grateful Miffy is healthy.

ミッフィーが元気なことにも感謝。

I should thank everything, instead of

taking it for granted.

As I'm Busy (Again)....

I load some photos I took in the past week.

My Dream Has Come True

I'm in Japan now.

I found a very cheap flight to Osaka,

and my husband kindly let me have a 

very short holiday in Japan.

格安のフライトが見つかったので

大阪まで１週間の弾丸帰国中。

「言ってくれば」と笑顔で

送り出してくれた夫に感謝。

I normally visit Japan in spring,

so I haven't been able to eat this:

PIONE!!

普通は春に帰省するので、

これを食べることが不可能だ：

それは大好きなピオーネ。

But I can eat it now!

でも今なら食べれるよ〜!

Minnie Mouse & Snoopy :-((

The doggies' favourite member of the family--my husband--

is away for work in Berlin now

(it happened at the bank holiday weekend yet again,

this is the third time in row this year!!)

犬たちの大好きな家族の一員--夫--

が出張でベルリンに行ってしまった。

実はこの週末は３連休で、

夫が３連休の週末に海外出張に行くのは

これで連続３回目！

The doggies are not very impressed.
