After the Storm

We had several horrible rainy days 

because of storm named "Doris".

I didn't want to use the new harnesses 

during the bad weather,

but today I was able to use them after the storm.

「ドリス」と名付けられた嵐が来たので

ここ数日間非常に悪い天気が続いていた。

しかし嵐も去り、今日は雨ではないので

新しいハーネスを早速使用してみた。

Speaking of "After the Storm",

we went to see a Japanese film called "After the Storm" yesterday.

Details of an apartment one of the characters lives in

really reminded me of Japan

(for example, "beaded curtain" 

to separate between a kitchen and a living room).

「嵐の後」と言えば、

英題で『嵐の後』となっている映画

『海よりもまだ深く』を昨日見に行った。

国際映画フェスティバルの一環で上映されていたのだ。

日本の古い団地での生活が非常にリアルだった。

とくに台所の入り口にかけられた

「ビーズの暖簾」を見たとき、

「こういうのあったあった！」と

懐かしくて不思議な気分だった。

出演している俳優の方々もみんな上手くて

よい映画でした。
