House Renovation Project 2

Removed the wallpapers beside the steps and the landing,

and painted in Dulux Light and Space Gentle Blossom.

階段横と踊り場の壁紙を剥がし、

Dulux Light and Space Gentle Blossomのペンキを塗った。

Basically I don't like wallpapers in general.

基本的に壁紙はあまり好きでない。

I don't like carpet here either 

but the doggies will slip without it.

本当はカーペットも取り除きたいが、

カーペットがなかったら犬達が滑ってしまうので

仕方ない。

I was touching up the paintwork when I noticed

the doggies were side by side on the bed.

I had to capture that moment!

今朝、壁のペンキを仕上げていたら

犬達が並んでベッドから私を見つめていた。

これはカメラに収めなければ！！

It would have been even better if they had been more smiley....

犬達がもっと楽しそうだったら完璧であったが...。

Ardgillan Castle Park

Visited Ardgillan Castle Park in Balbriggan.

BalbrigganのArdgillan Castleの庭園に行った。

There's a rose garden, but there are very few flowers yet...

バラ園もあるが、バラはまだ殆ど咲いていない。

Saw European goldfinches.

ゴシキヒワという鳥がいた。

Then briefly visited Rush Beach.

そして少しだけRushの浜辺に寄った。

Miffy beside the Wall

River Dodder Walk

I used to take Shiro for a walk along the River Dodder

on one particular route.

I took the dogs there for the first time in a long time.

以前、よくシローを連れて行った、

ドダー川の川沿いを歩くいつも決まったルートがある。

久しぶりにそこに犬達と行ってみた。

I couldn't believe how long the route is.

As the dogs get older, I've come to take a shorter walk.

久しぶりにそこを歩いてみて、

思っていたより長くてびっくり。

犬達も今年９歳になるので

お散歩のルートが短くなっているのだ。

And there are stepping stones the dogs used to enjoy.

そして川にこういう踏石がある。

The doggies used to enjoying hopping on these.

犬達はこの上を跳んで行くのが大好きだった。

However, Shiro was too scared to go,

and Miffy nearly fell halway, so I made her stop.

今日はシローは怖がって拒否。

ミッフィーも半分くらい行って足を滑らせて落ちそうになり、

私が慌てて止めさせた。

People change, doggies change, too....

Treat

オヤツ待ち中の犬達（キラキラビーム）。

 

And my treat (takoyaki).
そして私のオヤツはたこ焼き。
（上手くクルクルできないー涙）。

I've finished the difficult work,

so I'm going to spend more time on house renovation!

やっかいな仕事が完了したので、

家の内装の改善にもっと時間を割く予定！

Please Get Used to the Situation

My husband is away in Amsterdam

for the same purpose as when he went to Vienna last year.

夫は去年のウィーン出張と同じ目的で

アムステルダムに出張中。

The doggies stay in the sunroom all night,

waiting for him.

犬達は一晩中サンルームで

夫が帰るのをずっと待っている（涙）。

Shiro looks bored at home without Dad.

お父さんがいなくて寂しいシロー。

I do my best to keep them happy 

even though I'm quite busy with work now.

今仕事が少し忙しくて大変だけど、

できるだけ犬達の相手をして遊んでいる。

Daddy will be back soon!

Copy Cat Dog

Since she started to live with us,

Miffy has been thinking that she has to copy Shiro

in order for her to be loved by us.

Well, she has copied all his bad and strange habits,

but not a single good one....

ミッフィーが我が家にやってきてから、

飼い主に愛されるには先住犬の真似をしなければならない

と信じているようだ。

それ以来シローのいい習慣は１つも学ばずに、

悪習、変習（？）を真似し続けている（苦笑）。

And this is the latest addition:

車の下でお昼寝...。
