The marimekko fabric I ordered online arrived today!!

ネットで買ったマリメッコの布地が今日到着！

Looking at the fabric and wondering what to make

is a lovely feeling.

布地を眺めながら何を作ろうか

考えるのは楽しいひと時。

While tidying the shelf we use to store dog related stuff,

I found a harness Shiro was using when he was a puppy.

犬関係のものを収納する棚を整理していたら

シローがパピー時代に使っていたハーネスを発見。

The left one is the one he was using when he was a puppy.

左側がパピー時代のハーネス。

With Miffy.

ミッフィーと。

"I'm still using the same kind of harness after 10 years".

「10年経って大人になっても同じタイプのハーネス使ってます。」

"I don't know what I was using when I was a puppy...."

「私はパピー時代に何使ってたのかは知らないわ。」

Happy Hours Followed by Unhappy Hours

The doggies went to a big field in Kildare for a walk.

Shiro was so happy that she smeared the soil all over his face....

キルデアにある大きな野原に散歩に行った。

犬達大喜び−−特にシローは嬉しくって顔を地面にスリスリ。

 There is a rainbow behind Shiro's dirty face.

シローの汚い顔の向こうには虹が見える。

Naturally this happened at home.

帰宅後はもちろんお風呂。

"I had enough...."

「もう勘弁して下さい」

Everybody Loves Killiney Hill

みんな大好き Killiney Hill。

Especially on a sunny day.

I was so eager to go there that I forgot to change to my shoes--

these Crocs are my room shoes :-((

早く行きたいという気持ちが強すぎたあまり、

室内履きのままで来てしまった（汗）。

（このライナー付きクロックスをスリッパ代わりに使用している。）

Weekend 2

Miffy after a long walk in the hills with my husband....

夫と山歩きした後のミッフィー。

I made another roller blind for the ensuite bathroom.

私は山歩きには行かずに、

家で寝室のバスルーム用のローラーブラインドを製作。

I think it's better than the previous one,

as I had learned a few lessons.

一作目のものよりは改善したと思う。

Weekend 1

夜私とリラックスするシロー。

What's Next?

Shiro never misses a chance to play with my husband's slippers

when he forgets to put them somewhere high up.

夫がスリッパを床に置いたまま外出すると

シローは必ず夫が家を出た瞬間スリッパにダッシュし

おもちゃにし始める。

But Miffy just waits 

until I take away the slipper from Shiro.

ミッフィーはその間、

私がシローからスリッパを取り返すのを待つ。

As she knows if Shiro drops the slipper,

he can get a reward (and so can she for some reason!).

シローがスリッパを手放した時にもらえるご褒美を

それに便乗してミッフィーももらえることを知っているのだ！

Treat time next!

I finished a jumper.

As I used bigger knitting needles,

I was able to finish it relatively quickly

even with my sour tennis elbows.

セーターを編み終えた。

大きめの編み針を使ったので

テニス肘がまだ痛むのにもかかわらず

比較的早く完成させることができた。

The yarn used is "Noro Silk Garden Lite 2015".

使用した毛糸は「野呂シルクガーデンライト 2015」

I have to come up with next project.

次は一体何を作ろうか。

Carpe Diem as Your Favourite Things Don't Always Stay There!

I took the doggies to their favourite field.

However, there is a plan for some apartment buildings to be built there

so they won't be able to play in this place for a long time.

犬達が大好きな野原に出かけた。

残念ながらこの野原にはマンション建設が予定されており、

もうすぐここで遊ぶことができなくなる。

遊べる間は楽しもうね！

I made a pot holder and another oven glove

with the same fabric.

They look nice and clean but will get dirty very very soon....

同じ布地を使って鍋づかみとオーブンミトンを

またまた作ってしまった。

今はキレイだが１度使い出すとすぐに汚れてしまう。

I made smoked salmon sushi for lunch yesterday.

Unfortunately it didn't last for long, either.....

昨日のお昼ゴハンはスモークサーモン寿司を作った。

もちろんこれもすぐに無くなってしまった。

The Coldest Day This Winter

Today was the coldest day of this winter.

But I didn't mind as it didn't snow a lot 

as the weather forecast had warned!

今日はこの冬一番の冷え込みだった。

でも天気予報で警報が出ていたような

大雪にはならなかったので個人的には全然 OK だった。

The doggies have to be taken out cold or hot.

寒くても暑くても犬達は散歩に出かける。

Shiro must have found something disgusting....

シローは地面（のおそらくキタナイもの）にスリスリする。

Shiro, you look scary now....

シロー、ちょっとコワイよ...。

"I don't think I like cold weather," Miffy

「寒い天気はイマイチ好きじゃないです」ミッフィー。

"I prefer lying in front of the fire."

「冬はやっぱり暖炉よね。」

I made an oven glove today.

Shiro's 10th Birthday

9 January 2007 is Shiro's birthday.

(So is iPhone, which I got to know today.)

They are both 10 years old.

2007年1月9日はシローの誕生日。

（そしてiPhoneの誕生日でもあるらしい。）

両者共に10歳！

On the last day of his 9th year, we went to Scalp.

シローの9歳最後の日はScalpの丘を登った。

and so lucky to be able to celebrate

Shiro's 10th birthday.
