It's Miffy's Turn!

It seems that Shiro did not dig up all the beans my husband had sewed.

どうやらシローは夫が蒔いた豆を全部掘り起こさなかったようだ。

There are some bean sprout shoots.

芽がでているのだ。

But today it's Miffy's turn to dig the garden and mess up....

しかし今日はミッフィーの番であった。

I've done it!

やったわよ！

I took the doggies to Killiney Hill yesterday.

昨日は犬達とKilliney Hillに行った。

Howth is visible in the background.

犬達の後ろにはHowthが見える。

Last week was an extremely busy week for me.

先週は仕事でものすごく忙しかった。

Miffy seems unhappy with this situation.

それにはミッフィーも不満そう。

マイブーム：

 Found "Nashi Pear" in the local supermarket.

近所のスーパーで「ナシ」を発見。

The poppy has opened.

ポピーが開いた。

「赤く咲くのはケシの花〜〜（←古いな)」

Our kitchen garden's courgettes are getting bitter!

家庭菜園のズッキーニも順調に大きくなっている！

Hedgehog!

When my husband took the doggies out for a daily morning walk yesterday,

they encountered a wild hedgehog in a field near our house!

昨日の朝夫がいつものように犬達と朝散歩に出かけたら、

何と野生のハリネズミに遭遇した。

This hedgehog was probably living in the forest nearby
which was destroyed because apartments are being built....

このハリネズミは近くの森に住んでいたのが
マンション建設のために森が破壊されて、
他に住むところを探してここにさまよって来たのだろう。

I hope she/he didn't get lost and will find somewhere to live.
家族と一緒に新しいところ住処をみつけられるといいね、
ハリネズミさん。

Shiro has completed his task of uncovering 

(& savouring) the beans sowed in the garden....

シローはどうやら夫が蒔いた豆を

掘り起こす（＆食する）という仕事を完了したようだ。

 He looks like another creature.

何か別の生き物に見える。

Oh, by the way I had washed the doggies 2 days before....

ちなみに２日前に犬達をシャンプーしたばかりだ。

I'm so caught up in busy work.

I wish I could say I had completed the task, too!

今仕事でものすごく忙しい。

シローみたいに早く仕事を完了させたい！

Relaxing Monday

My busy work has calmed down a bit now,

so I did concentrate on my hobby over the weekend.

忙しかった仕事がとりあえず一段落したので、

週末は趣味に多めの時間を割いた。

I made (yet) another linen shirt.

またリネンシャツを作成。

I bought the fabric at Toraya in Osaka,

and used the buttons I took from my husband's old shirt.

リネン生地は大阪のとらやで購入し、

ボタンは古くなった夫のシャツのものを使用。

While I was sewing,

Miffy was waiting on one of the steps leading 

to the room I was in.

ソーイングをしていると、

ミッフィーは私のいる部屋に続く階段の

上でずっと待機していた。

I did a bit of gardening, too.

After I used plant food,

some flowers revived!

ちょっとだけガーデニングも。

肥料をやると

見違えるように花が咲き始めたものもあった。

Added nemesia flowers.

ネメシアを買って植えてみた。

Lemons are getting bigger!

レモンも大きくなってきた！

But the doggies don't care....

犬達はお花には興味なしの模様。

Rainbow and Monkstown

We've been having unstable weather.

That means, we get a rainbow!

変わりやすい天気の日々が続いている。

つまり、虹が出やすいということ！

On Saturday, we drove to Monkstown 

to enjoy a brief period of sunshine.

土曜は、短い晴れ間を使って

Monkstownでお散歩。

Miffy and Her Friends

Miffy has recently acquired a "boyfriend" who 

we often bump into during our evening walk.

He's called "Tzar" and a lovely Samoyed!

ミッフィーには最近「彼」ができた。

夕方の散歩時によく会う

素敵なサモエドの「ツァー」くん。

This is really really unusual.

She hates almost all the dogs.

In fact, she hates almost all the creatures :-((

But somehow she was very friendly with him

since she first met him.

これはミッフィーには珍しいことである。

ミッフィーは他の犬が大嫌いだ。

（もしかしたら保護センターでの経験がトラウマなのかも。）

ものすごく敵意を丸出しにする。

でも、ツァーくんには最初から尻尾フリフリで

一緒に遊ぼうと誘っていたのでびっくりしたのだ。

Maybe because of this, she has calmed down quite a bit

towards Shiro as well recently.

恋をしたミッフィーはちょっとおしとやかになったのか、

シローに対しても穏やかになってきている。

Great to see them friendly to each other!

二人が仲良くしているのを見るのは本当に嬉しい。

Yesterday we had terrible hails!

昨日はものすごい雹が降ってきてびっくり！
