Summer Holiday in Connemara 3

 

On Day 3, it was pouring rain,

but my husband decided to go kayaking

as he thought this would be the best day

during our stay in Connemara--

the least windy day.

3日目は朝から大雨であった。

しかしながら、風がないという理由だけで

カヤックをする絶好の機会だと

夫は主張し

午前中夫はカヤック遊びに

一人で出かけてしまった。

I stayed in the hotel with the doggies,

and did some work.

私は犬達とホテルに残り、

仕事に励んだ。

My husband came back,

soaking wet before lunch.

By the lunchtime,

the weather had improved and

we bought sandwiches 

and ate in Letterfrack.

夫は昼食前にずぶ濡れになって

ホテルに戻ってきた😅

そして、昼食時には

お天気がすっかり回復したので、

近くのレターフラックという街で

サンドウィッチを買い、公園で食べた。

After lunch, we drove to Clifden

to do laundry at the Laundrette.

昼食後は、コインランドリーを

使うためクリフデンに行った。

While waiting for the laundry machine,

we went for a drive on Sky Road.

ランドリーが終わるまでの間

スカイ・ロードにドライブに出た。

After the laundry was finished,

we went back to Letterfrack for dinner,

but all the restaurants were fully booked.

We bought some salad and bread

at the supermarket and

ate at the hotel...

ランドリーが終わった後、

レターフラックに戻って

夕食を取ろうと計画したが、

レストランは全て満席であった。

仕方ないのでスーパーで

パンやサラダを購入して

ホテルで食べた。
