Budapest 1 -- Pest

As my husband had to take another flight 

with this particular air company before the end of December

in order to keep his 100,000 air miles had accumulated,

we went on a super short weekend holiday in Budapest!

今年中にある航空会社を１度も使わないと、

夫が今まで貯めたマイル数が全部消滅してしまうので、

思い立って週末だけ１泊２日でハンガリーの首都ブダペストに行って来た！

As that company doesn't fly to Budapest from Dublin directly,

we had to take 2 flights and it took as more than 6 hours....

We had to get up at 3 and be at Dublin airport by 5.

その航空会社にはダブリンからブダペストへの直行便はないので、

飛行機を乗り継いで６時間かけて行った（涙）。

朝３時に起きて５時までにダブリン空港に行かねばならなかった。

１度めのフライトから見た夜明け。

As the weather forecast said it would rain mostly,

I didn't bring my SLR camera.

But in the end, we had warm dry weather.

天気予報では雨が降ると言ってたので、

一眼レフを持って行かなかったのだが、

結局ほとんど降らず、その上ものすごく暖かかった！

Had a coffee break at a cake shop called "Szamos" 

which was established in 1935.

 Szamosという1935年創立のケーキショップで

コーヒーブレイク。

 After reading the history of the shop,

I was reminded of the film "The Grand Budapest Hotel"

(it was a great film!).

お店の歴史を読んだら

何故か映画「グランド・ブダペスト・ホテル」を思い出した。

（良い映画だった！）

BTW, my father-in-law and his wife looked after the doggies

while we were away.

I'm so grateful.

旅行中は義父夫妻に犬たちの面倒を見ていただいた。

本当にありがたい。
