My birthday morning started with a big surprise--

everything was covered with snow!

My first snowy birthday in my not-so-short life!!

誕生日の朝はカーテンを開けてびっくり。

一面銀世界であった。

人生初の雪のバースデイ！

Drove very carefully to Symonds Yat Rock
(which is supposed to have
one of the most spectacular view in England).

雪の中を非常に気をつけながら
Symonds Yat Rock という
イングランドで最も景色のいい場所の
１つだと見なされている所に行った。

We celebrate my birthday by
having dinner at The Verderers
in The Speech House Hotel.

誕生日は The Speech House Hotel の
 The Verderers というレストランでディナー。

The meal was good!
美味しかった。

This hotel holds a meeting for "verderers",
whose job is to manage and protect forests.

このホテルが「スピーチハウス」と呼ばれるのは
「verderers」という森を管理する役目をもつ
人々による会合が開かれているからだそうだ。
