It snowed even more overnight
and the whole country is still at standstill.
夜の間に雪は降り続け、
今日も国全体の機能は停止したままだ。
One of the convenient shops in the neighbourhood
was open briefly.
We ventured out in the snow to do some shopping
and this is what we found:
近所のコンビニが１軒数時間だけ開店している
という情報を入手し、
雪の中頑張って歩いて行って見たが、
店の前にはすごい行列ができていた：
We weren't brave or patient enough to join the queue.
寒い中行列に並ぶ勇気も忍耐もなかった。
We are running out of bread,
so I had to bake one.
食料がなくなりつつあるので、
今日はパンを焼いた。
My husband made flapjacks
as we are running out of dessert.
デザートがなくなりつつあるので
夫が仕事の合間にフラップジャックを作った。
I can't wait for spring!!
