My husband & I spent most of the time separately most of the day today.
In the morning we drove to Saint-Quentin.
My husband & the doggies got off there to do some Geocaching,
and I drove on to Auchan at Centre Commercial to do some shopping.
今日は日中の殆どを夫と犬達とは別行動。
まずサンカンタンに車で行き、
そこで夫と犬達はジオキャッシングに出かけた。
私は１人で車を運転して大きなショッピングコンプレックスにある
ハイパーマーケットの Auchan でショッピング。

The restaurant inside the shopping centre

ショッピングセンター内のレストランには
ワインのドリンクバーがあった！(◎_◎;)
After that I drove to town to pick up my husband & the doggies.
買い物後は夫と犬達を迎えに街まで運転。
We bought "sushi bento" and Vietnamese spring rolls
at "La Muraille de Chine" for lunch.
The spring rolls weren't good, but the sushi wasn't so bad.
La Muraille de Chine という店で
寿司弁当とベトナム風春巻きをランチ用に購入。
春巻きはまずかったが寿司はまあまあいけた。
The doggies in the evening.
夜になってもオヤツをみると笑顔になる犬達。

（アイルランドよりずっと安い）。
This morning I went to the local post office to buy a stamp
to send a postcard to Japan.
I thought it would be simple & easy and
a good opportunity to try my (not very good) French skill.
今朝、近所の郵便局に
日本に送るための絵葉書用の切手を買いに行った。
簡単なやりとりで済むので
私の拙いフランス語が試せるとちょっと張り切った。
How wrong I was!!
I said "I would like to buy a stamp", in perfect French (I think),
then a man who looked like a security man at the desk)
and 2 other men who looked like construction workers,
said something very very long.
しかし、中に入って
「切手を買いたいんですが」と（多分）完璧なフランス語で言うと、
警備員みたいなおじさんと工事現場で働いている風のおじさんが
３人で長々と何か説明してくれる。
何を言ってるのかさっぱりわからない😱
I thought the post office was closed so I turned around.
Then, they all started to say "Attends!".
I was so confused that I asked a help from my husband,
who speaks French.
郵便局はまだ開いてないんだと思い、
引き返そうとするとみんなが
「待って待って」と叫んでいる。
何が問題なのかわからないので
フランス語ができる夫に助けを求めた。
What was happening was,
the post office is located in the room next door
and only one person is allowed to go in
for a security reason.
I needed to wait as there was already somebody in there.
夫によると、
郵便局は隣の部屋にあるのだが、
警備上の理由で中には１人しか入れない。
今はお客さんが１人入ってるから、
その人が出てくるまで待てということであった。
I've never seen anything like this in a post office....
郵便局でこんなシステム見るのは初めてだ。
ということはこの地域は治安が悪いってことかも....。
