Late Summer Holiday in France 8

Drove around the area near we are staying today.

今日は滞在している宿周辺を車で回った。

We wanted to go to Tatihou Island

where you can see one of UNESCO World Heritage tower,

but dogs are not allowed on the island.

So we drove Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue instead,

where you can see the other tower which form

a twin with the one on Tatihou Island. 

本当はTatihou島に行きたかったのだが
（フランスの12の建物群からなる世界遺産の1つ） 、

犬は島に入れないので

その代わりにSaint-Vaast-la-Hougueに行った。

For lunch, my husband had oysters and 

"moules et frites", the local specialty,

and I had duck & bacon salad and chips.

They were absolutely delicious.

夫は牡蠣と地元の名物「ムール貝とフレンチフライ」、

私はダックとベーコンのサラダとフレンチフライを

昼食に頂いた。

私は牡蠣にアレルギーがあるので食べなかったが、

それ以外のものはみんなとても美味しかった。

特にダックはこんなに柔らかくて美味しいものを

食べるのは本当に久しぶりで大感激。

3. Gatteville

The third tallest traditional lighthouse in the world.

伝統的な形態の灯台では世界で三番目に古いもの。
