Rainbow, Meat, and the Conductor

This weekend, it rained heavily for the first time 

in quite a while.

ずっといいお天気だったが

この週末は久しぶりに大雨が降った。

But we got double rainbows as a result.

そのおかげでダブルレインボーがでた。

While visiting my  husband's father's house,

his house gave the doggies 2 beef bones.

義父の家を訪問中、

犬達は義継母にビーフの骨をもらった。

I had given them a slice of Italian salami at home.

その前に私は犬達にサラミをあげていた。

無理やりならされている。

Pandan Cake

As I have finished the big job,

I tried baking a pandan cake

which I loved in Bali.

大きな仕事が一段落したので、

バリで食べて美味しかった

パンダンケーキを作ってみた。

It was tasty as just a sponge cake....

Though I strictly followed a recipe,

it was a completely different cake from 

what I enjoyed in Bali....

スポンジケーキとしては美味しかったが、

バリで食べたパンダンケーキとは

全く別物であった。

残念...。

A Trip to the North

Drove up to the Northern Ireland on Saturday.

The last time we went there was last December.

I wanted to see the Rose festival 

in Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park.

去年のクリスマス時期から

約 8 ヶ月ぶりに北アイルランドに行った。

Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park での

バラ祭りを見に行きたかったのだ。

Then we briefly visited The Boulevard Outlet.

My husband bought 3 shirts,

but I bought nothing.

(It was I who wanted to go there

and buy a pair of city walking shoes, though.)

その後、すこしだけアウトレットに寄り、

夫はビジネスシャツ 3 枚、

私は何も買わなかった。

（アウトレットに行きたかったのは私なのに。

ウォーキングシューズが欲しかったのだ。）

And before driving back to Dublin,

we did Geocaching in Clare Glen in Armagh.

そしてダブリンに戻る前に

クレアグレンという森で

ジオキャッシングを兼ねて犬達と散歩。

Still Busy with Work (I Am Grateful, Though)

Even when I'm very busy with work,

the doggies need a quality time 

with the humans everyday.

飼い主達がどんなに忙しくても

犬達は毎日飼い主と遊ぶ時間が必要。

And the doggies are a lovely distraction from work.

そして仕事の合間に犬達と触れ合うのは

私にとっても必要。

Work...

Received a very big translation work and

I will be busy for the next 2 weeks....

非常に大きな翻訳の仕事が入った。

これから 2 週間は仕事漬けだ...。

My husband bought roses to cheer me up.

夫がそんな私を元気付けるために

バラの花束を買ってくれた。

This comes from one of our rose bushes--

this rose bush used to belong to my late mother-in-law.

このバラは亡くなった義母が

生前育てていたバラの苗の花である。

義母が亡くなった時に苗を頂いたのだ。

Before setting out for an adventure 

with my husband

(I'm staying at home to work).

夫と冒険散歩に行く前にワクワク

（私は家で仕事）。
