I haven't updated the blog for nearly 2 months!
I have been very busy with a lot of things,
so I didn't physically and mentally have a capacity
to sit down and write a blog....
ブログを2ヶ月近くも放棄してしまった。
あれから色々なことがあったので
精神的にも物理的にも
じっくりとブログを書く余裕がなかったのだ...。
I had great weather and a great time in Osaka.
Some relatives visited my Dad and me from Tokyo,
to celebrate my father's 89 old birthday on 11th March,
and see me.
大阪での天気は暖かく、本当に思い切って帰って良かった。
父の89歳の誕生日をお祝いするのと、私に会うためにと
東京からわざわざ親類が来てくれたり
楽しい時間を過ごすことができた。
My husband kindly suggested
I should stay in Japan longer.
I wanted to do that, but my father insisted
I should go back to Ireland as scheduled.
He was very worried I may not be able to go back
Because of the war situation in Ukraine.
夫は、私の日本滞在を延長するべきだと
言ってくれたのだが、
父は予定通りに帰るように主張した。
ウクライナの戦争のこともあり、
父は私がアイルランドに戻れないかもしれない
ことを心配してからだ。
I decided to follow my father's suggestion
as "filial piety".
I still don't know that was the right decision, though.
結局、私は親孝行のつもりで父の言う通りに
アイルランドに予定通りに戻ってきた。
それが正しい選択だったのか、
いまだに自分でもよくわからない。
18 March was my birthday.
I declined a present offer from my husband
as last year's birthday present was much more expensive
than I thought.
3月18日は誕生日だったのだが、
お寿司を取って食べただけで、
夫からのプレゼントは辞退した。
去年の誕生日のプレゼントが予想以上に
高価なものになってしまったからだ。
Last year's birthday present from my husband:

去年の誕生日は、亡き母の肩身の
カーネリアンの指輪を
デザインし直したもの。
In April, my husband went to England
for business and
returned home with Covid!!
As a result, I got Covid, too!!
4月初旬には、夫は出張でイギリスに行き、
コロナに感染して帰ってきた。
当然私も感染した。
We both suffered high temperature and
terrible coughs.
My husband got over it after 1 week,
but I'm still suffering from some coughs,
sour throat and a bit of chest pain.
2人とも高熱と咳に苦しんだが
夫は1週間で完治して仕事に復帰したが、
私は今でもまだ軽い咳、喉の痛み、
そして肺の痛みに悩んでいる。
However, the doggies are
in a good form, at least.
でも、犬達が元気なのでありがたい。

I bought yarn in Aeon in Japan.
鏡台用のレースをやっと編み終えた。
糸は日本滞在中に買って
日本で編み始めたものだ。
