Osaka, November 2022

 

Went to Osaka for a week in November last year.

There was almost no direct flight

from Europe to Osaka,

so I flew via Dubai.

去年の11月1週間だけ

大阪に弾丸帰省した。

欧州から大阪への直行便がないので

ドバイ経由で帰った。

I had a terrible food poisoning

during the stay

so I didn't do a lot of things.

日本滞在中に

ひどい食中毒になり

あまり出掛けられなかった。

However, I visited Osaka Castle

with an old friend of mine

before I got sick.

しかし、体調を崩す前に

高校時代の友人と

大阪城公園に行った。

Went to Umeda for cake & coffee

afterwards.

その後は梅田に出て

コーヒーとケーキを頂いた。 

I was very amused to see

the special treatment for

"kaki-no-tane"

in a supermarket.

スーパーの売り場の案内に

柿の種が特別に

表記されてるのに感心した。

人気あるんだな。

I felt better by the time I left Osaka,

so I had chosen nice sushi dinner

as "last supper" in Japan.

大阪を離れる頃には

体調も回復してたので

日本最後の食事は

関空でお寿司を

食べるつもりだった。

However, the airport was

under renovation and

only the self-service restaurants were open.

しかしながら、空港は改装中で

セルフサービスの店しか開いてなかった。

そこで杵屋麦丸という

おうどん屋さんにした。

When will I be able to see Dad again....?

今度父に会えるのはいつだろうか...。

Summer Holiday in France 2022 Day 19

 

We went out for a short walk

before checking out the accommodation.

Then, the first destination on the way to Roscoff

was Château de Suscinio.

宿をチェックアウトする前に

近隣を散歩し、

そしてロスコフに向けて出発した。

途中でモルビアンにある

スシニオ城を見に行った。

We had a picnic lunch nearby,

and I found a sunflower there.

お城の近所で

ランチピクニックをした。

その近くにひまわりが咲いていた。

As we went near Roscoff,

the temparature noticeably

continued to go down.

ロスコフに近づくにつれ

気温がどんどん下がっていくのが

わかった。

Finally we arrived at Roscoff.

We had a galette dinner in a 

restaurant near the port. 

夜になりやっとロスコフに到着。

港の近くのレストランで

夕食にガレットを食べた。

Very often in France,

you can bring a dog inside.

I wanted to do it as it was quite cold,

but this restaurant didn't allow that.

So we had to sit outside with Miffy.

フランスでは

犬を店内に連れて入ることを

許可しているレストランが多い。

ロスコフは寒かったので

そういうレストランを探したが

結局見つからず、

仕方ないので

ミッフィーと一緒に

屋外のテーブルに付いた。

I must say the galette was

not very nice,

and it was so cold that

I felt very miserable.

ガレットは美味しくなかったし

寒くて寒くて

だんだん惨めな気持ちになった。

To cheer us up,

we went to a cafe

which allows dogs inside,

and had nice coffee and a cake.

フランス最後の思い出を

嫌なものにしたくなかったので、

犬も店内に入れるカフェを探し、

ケーキとコーヒーをいただいた。

Finally we boarded the boat to Ireland.

Miffy was allowed to stay in our cabin😀

そして無事にアイルランド行きの

フェリーに乗船。

ミッフィーも客室に泊まった😀

Summer Holiday in France 2022 Day 18

 

We said good bye to Charente-Maritime

and started our journey towards

Roscoff, the port in Brittany.

シャラント＝マリティーム県に

別れを告げ、

ロスコフ港のあるブリタニーに

向けて出発した。

Our normal stop off hotel in 

La Roche-Bernard was

booked out

so we decided stay in 

Le Tour du Parc instead.

毎回滞在している

ラ・ロッシュ＝ベルナールの

ホテルが満室だったので、

Le Tour du Parcという場所に

泊まることにした。

Dinner at the hotel restaurant.

ホテルでの夕食。

Electric car charger situations are

not very good in Brittany....

ブリタニーでの

車の充電は少々問題ありだった...。

Summer Holiday in France 2022 Day 17

 

This is the last day in Fouras.

We decided to take it easy.

First we wandered around the streets in Fouras.

I bought a basket, which I'm planning

to put crochet/knitting projects.

この日がFourasでの最後の日だ。

まずFourasに出かけた。

表通りをぶらぶらと散歩し、

たまたま見かけた店で

バスケットを買った。

編み物の道具を入れる予定。

In the afternoon, 

we went to Rochefort for the last time.

午後は最後の思い出に

Rochefortに行った。

We found a lovely chocolate shop

in which you can have tea and coffee.

We discovered that this is a shop by

a very famous chocolatier called

Yves Thuriès.

とても素敵なチョコレートの店を見つけた。

テーブルがありお茶やコーヒーも飲める。

フランスの紅茶は概して美味しくないが、

この店の紅茶はとても美味しかった。

その時にこの店は有名なショコラティエ

イヴ・チュリエスの店だと言うことを知った。

I bought some chocolate as souvenir.

お土産にいくつかチョコレートを買った。

It is almost time to say good bye to Fouras....

そろそろFourasともお別れだ...。

Summer Holiday in France 2022 Day 16

 On this day, we visited Hiers-Brouage⁩

in the morning.

It is a medieval walled city and

full of interesting buildings.

この日、午前中は

イエ・ブルアージュに行った。

中世の要塞都市で

興味ある建物がいっぱいあった。

In the afternoon, we went to a vet in Rocheford.

Miffy needs some medication

so that she can travel back to Ireland.

The vet is in the supermarket complex.

Our electric car needed charging,

so while my husband and Miffy were at the vet,

I drove the car to the charger.

午後にはロシュフォールの獣医に行った。

ミッフィーがアイルランドに戻るために

必要な薬をもらうためである。

獣医はスーパーマーケットに併設してあり、

スーパーの駐車場に車の充電設備があったので、

夫とミッフィーが獣医にいる間、

私は車を充電した。

Miffy was excited to see fish

in a fish tank in the vet.

ミッフィーは獣医内にあった

水槽の中の魚を見て大喜び。

For dinner,

we went out to a restaurant at the beach.

夕食にはビーチの

そばにあるレストランに出かけた。

We went back to Plage des Anses,

and spent the whole day there

by just relaxing and swimming.

We did exactly the same thing which 

we had never done until the previous day!

この日もPlage des Ansesへ行き、

1日中のんびりしたり

泳いだりして過ごした。

前日までこんな風に1日を

過ごしたことがなかったのに

2日連続でやったのだ！

Playing "Mölkky".

モルックをやった。

We saw a samoyed.

サモエドがいた。

There was a farm shop which sells

famous Charante melons

near the house

we were staying.

We bought it and it was delicous!

滞在している家の近くに

シャラントメロンを直売している

農家があったので

買ってみた。

美味しかった！

Summer Holiday in France 2022 Day 14

 

On this day, we went to Plage des Anses,

and spent the whole day there

by just relaxing and swimming.

We had never done this anywhere before!

この日はPlage des Ansesへ行き、

1日中のんびりしたり

泳いだりして過ごした。

こんな風に1日を過ごすのは

初めてである。

Playing "Mölkky".

モルックをやった。

We had a such a good time!

とてもいい時間を過ごした。

On this day, we visited 

a transporter bridge in Rochefort

across the river Charente.

この日はシャランテ川を横切る

ロシュフォール運搬橋

を体験した。

橋の近くを探索した。

After that we went to see 

Fontaine de Lupin.

その後、

Fontaine de Lupinを

見に行った。

Then we had a coffee break nearby

at Port-des-Barques.

その後は

ポール・デ・バルクの港で

コーヒーブレーク。

 

Summer Holiday in France 2022 Day 12

It is just so embarrassing to write about

the holiday we had 4 months ago,

but this blog also serves as a holiday record,

so I am going to start again😅

4ヶ月前の旅行のことを

今更書くのは少し気が引けるが、

このブログは後で読み返して

旅行記になるという利点もあるので、

続きを書こうと思う。

Of course it was such a long time ago,

so it's a bit sketchy....

随分前のことなので、

忘れてることも多いが...。
