Monaghan Summit & Other Activities

On Saturday we climbed the boggy mountain

and conquered the top of Co. Monaghan.

土曜日は泥炭地で出来た山に登り、

モナハン県の山頂を制覇した。

It was relatively easy climb,

so we took the doggies with us.

My husband carried the doggies whenever necessary.

比較的低い山で勾配も緩やかなので

犬達も連れて行った。

大変な箇所は夫が犬達を抱っこした。

On Sunday we went for a short walk along the canal

near Kilcock in Co. Kildare. (No photo.)

日曜日はキルデア県にあるキルコックの

運河沿いを少し散歩した。

Harvested a big strawberry.

比較的大きないちごを収穫。

Big pumpkin flowers opened.

かぼちゃの花が咲いた。

Somehow "Shiso" is growing in our vegetable garden.

I sowed the seeds last year but not this year.

家庭菜園に大葉が育っている。

去年タネを蒔いたが今年は蒔かなかったのに。

I was able to find a very cheap

"responsibly sourced cotton" jumper

at Marks & Spencer sale.

マークス＆スペンサーのセールで

「倫理にかなって信頼できる方法で入手されたコットン」

でできたサマーセーターを

信じられないくらい安い値段（約500円）で購入。

However, I would prefer if I could get more work....

People are greedy....

しかしながら最近仕事が暇すぎる。

忙し過ぎた時は大変すぎて暇になってほしかったが、

暇すぎるのも不安になってしまう。

人間というのは全くわがままである...。

Wicklow Summit & Other Activities

This Saturday we conquered Lugnaquilla,

 the summit of Co. Wicklow

(without our lovely pets).

土曜日はウィックロウの一番高い山

Lugnaquilla の山頂を（犬達抜きで）

制覇した。

On Sunday we went for a drive to Co. Wexford 

with the doggies.

日曜日は犬達と Wexford までドライブ。

Pepper plants I grow from seeds

started to have flowers.

タネから育てたパプリカの花が咲いた。

Passion flowers opened about 20 days later than last year.

パッションフラワーは去年より20日遅れで咲き始めた。

Made 2 cosmetic bags--big and small.

化粧ポーチを大小2個作成。

An old iPod I was going throw out 

suddenly started to work again...

数年前に故障したので

週末に捨てようと思っていた

古い iPod が再び動き始めた... 。

Roscommon Summit

We conquered the highest point of Co. Roscommon this weekend.

今週末はロスコモン県の一番高い場所を制覇した。

On Sunday morning we went for a walk in Dalkey.

The weather was lovely.

日曜の午前中は Dalkey を散歩。

いいお天気で気持ちよかった。

In the afternoon we invited my husband's sister 

and her husband for lunch.

午後は夫の妹夫婦を昼食に招待した。

（写真は全く撮らなかった。）

Lilies in the garden opened.

庭のユリが咲いた。

Harvested some cherries from our bonsai cherry tree.

They were surprisingly nice.

庭の植木鉢で育てている桜の木にチェリーが成った。

美味しかった。

Tried a "cronut" for the first time.

It tasted like a doughnut....

クロナッツを朝食に食べてみた。

普通にドーナツと同じだけどなあ。

Cuilcagh Mountain and Other Weekend Activities

On Friday I took Shiro to the vet's for a follow-up check.

金曜日はシローを獣医に連れて行き経過をチェック。

On Saturday we conquered the summit of Cuilcagh Mountain,

the shared highest point of Co. Cavan and Co. Fermanagh.

We didn't bring the doggies with us.

土曜日はCuilcagh Mountainの頂上を征服。

キャヴァン県とファーマナ県の頂上である。

犬達は自宅でお留守番。

On Sunday morning, we went to 

Dun Laoghaire Harbour for a walk.

日曜の朝はDun Laoghaireの波止場を散歩。

And on Sunday afternoon,

we visited our friends for lunch.

The husband is English and the wife is Italian.

We had a lovely time.

日曜の午後は友人夫婦宅にランチを招待していただいた。

ご主人がイギリス人、奥さんがイタリア人だ。

楽しかった（が、写真を撮り忘れた）。
