After having a break from climbing a mountain one weekend
we went to Mayo to climb Mweelrea
– Mayo's highest mountain peak
with our friend at last.
先週末は登山せずに
先日ランチに招待してもらった友人を
ランチに招待し、
そして今週はメイヨーに行って
友人とメイヨーで一番高い山の山頂を目指した。
I was very impressed with the friend
as she hadn't done any mount climbing for ages,
and still she kept up with us with no problem.
(BTW, she's the same age as I am.)
最後の登山は東京の高尾山で、
それ以来10年以上全く登山していない
のにも関わらず友人は
全く問題なく我々のペースで登山した。
（友人はアイリッシュで、私と同年齢だ。）
We did sightseeing in Mayo the next day with the doggies.
(We left the doggies at a kennel while climbing the mountain.)
翌日は犬達も一緒にメイヨーを観光。
（登山中犬達はケンネルに預かってもらった。）

ムーアホールの廃墟

Ballintubber Abbey
We saw double rainbows on our way home.
そして帰路で見た二重の虹。
I am delighted to reunite with our friend!
友人と再会できて楽しかった！
