2019 La Rochelle Holiday 12

After shower before breakfast,

we took the doggies to a vet nearby

to get a necessary procedure done for
taking the doggies back to Ireland 🇮🇪 from France 🇫🇷.

朝シャワーを浴びてから朝食の前に、

犬達を近くの獣医に連れて行った。

フラン から🇫🇷アイルランド🇮🇪に

犬達を連れて帰るのに必要な手続きを行うためだ。

The veterinarian was a lovely lady

who explained about Shiro's medical condition

very well in English.

We were very happy to find this veterinary practice

in our local area.

獣医の先生は優しい女医さんで、

シローの心臓に関して

詳しく英語で説明してくれた。

滞在先でこんな素晴らしい獣医さんに会えて

とても幸運であった。

After breakfast, we visited Île d'Oléron.

朝食の後は、オレロン島に向かった。

 The bridge linking to the island from the mainland

is the longest bridge in France.

フランス本土から島を繋ぐ橋は、

フランスで1番長い橋である。

The doggies had a swim.

犬達はまたまた入水した。

With the Chassiron lighthouse.

シャシロン灯台。 

We saw some people picking something on the beach.

カニやらを浜辺で捕まえている人々が結構いた。 

I didn't take a photograph,

but we had ice cream on the island.

写真を撮り忘れたが

アイスクリームも食べた。

During the evening walk after dinner.

夕食後の散歩中に。

I bought a baguette and cakes at a nearby bakery,

using my poor French.

The people in this area are so nice and friendly--

the shop assistant was patiently trying to understand

my French with a smile.

(And in the end, she repeated what I said 

in English---😅)

近くのベーカリーでバゲットとケーキを

私が下手なフランス語を使って買ってみた。

この地域の人々は本当に優しくて親切な人が多い。

ここでも、お店の方はニコニコしながら

私が下手なフランス語で注文するのを聞いてくれた。

（そして最後に、英語で確認してくれた😅）

What I ate for dessert--Paris-Breast.

It was delicious.

デザートに買ったパリス・ブレスト。

美味しかった。

I didn't know this until I came on this holiday,

but this part of France is 

the sunniest place in France.

And today it was the hottest place in France.

I'm so glad we chose to come here.

今回この旅行に来るまで知らなかったのだが、

この地域はフランスで1番晴れの日が多い地域

なんだそうだ。

今日のニュースでは、

フランスで1番暑い場所だったらしい。

今回ラ・ロシェル周辺に来て本当に良かった。
