The first weekend of our holiday.
We drove to Marans.
On our way from La Roche-Bernard to La Rochelle
on Wednesday,
while driving through Marans,
we saw a lot of signs with writings:
"Red Eggs".
This is the capital of "marans eggs"!
今回の休暇の最初の週末は、
まずマランに行って見た。
水曜日にラ・ロッシュ＝ベルナールから
ラ・ロシェルに向かう途中に
マランを通ったのだが、
その際に「赤い卵の村」という標識が
たくさんあったので興味をもったのだ。
我々は知らなかったのだが、
ここは、ジェームズ・ボンドがこの卵以外は食べない
という「マラン鶏の赤い卵」の
発祥地なのである。
We were hoping to buy the eggs,
but it is just the origin of the hens and eggs,
so we couldn't find any specialist shops....
せっかくなので赤い卵を買いたかったのだが、
発祥地というだけで
別にお土産として特別に売っている訳ではなかった...。

We drove to L'Aiguillon Sur Mer for lunch.
ランチには海辺のL'Aiguillon Sur Mer に行った。
I had white squid (blanc de seiche).
It was tender and nice.
私は白いイカをいただいた。
柔らかくて美味しかった。
After going for a short walk,
and the doggies having a swim
we drove to La Faute-sur-Mer
to visit the sandy beach.
少し散歩した後、
La Faute-sur-Mer のビーチに行ってみた。
There were some wedding cars driving in the main street.
目抜き通りでは結婚式の車が
クラクションを鳴らしながら楽しそうに走っていた。
We had such a lovely day.
