On Thursday we cycled to l'île de Ré.
木曜日は前日レンタルした自転車で
レ島まで行って見た。
When we were cycling the bridge to the island,
a serious male cyclist coming fro the island
raised his hand and greeted to us.
We were wondering that's the normal thing to do here.
島への橋を渡っている時、
島から来るサイクリストの男性が
笑顔で挨拶してくれた。
それが島での習慣なのだろうか。
The museum of sardines...
イワシ（缶）博物館...。
My husband wanted to have lunch on the island,
but I wanted to go back to the doggies
and have lunch somewhere with them.
夫は島で昼食を取りたかったようだが、
私は早く犬達のいる宿に戻ってから
どこかで犬達と一緒に昼食を食べたかった。
However, restaurants here close normally at 2pm.
We couldn't find a place to eat....
In the end we came home and ate the leftover from
the previous night's curry for dinner.
しかしながら、フランスの田舎では
レストランはシエスタのため2時で閉まるので、
開いているレストランを見つけることができなかった。
結局宿に戻ってから昨日の夕食の残りのカレーを食べた。
After lunch we went to plage du Plomb.
昼食後は Plomb の浜辺に出かけた。
For dinner, we cycled to our local restaurant,
but they didn't serve a meal even though the door was open.
They said the chef was away.
I thought, 'In that case, please keep the door closed!!'.
夕食には近くのレストランに自転車で出かけた。
ドアが開いているので中に入って見ると
中の女性が「シェフがお休みだから食事は作れません」と言う。
食事の作れないのならその日は閉店してにほしかった...。
So we decided to cycle to a hotel restaurant
called "Le 123 Restaurant".
There was a big group of middle aged coach tourists,
and it was very noisy when we entered.
それで、「Le 123 Restaurant」という
ホテルのレストランに自転車で行ってみた。
入って見ると中高年のバスツアーの団体で
ものすごくうるさかった。
However, the food was lovely.
しかしながら食べ物は美味しかった。
When we came home, we took the doggies out for a short walk.
夕食から帰宅後、犬達を散歩に連れて行った。
It wasn't an enjoyable day for Shiro
as he had to wait at home most of the day....
シローにとってはお留守番の多い
退屈な１日だったかも...。
