As my husband still suffers from his back injury,
we decided that today is a relatively a quiet day.
夫がまだギックリ腰で痛がっているので
今日は比較的のんびりすることに決定。
Our plan:
1. Go to the chemist and get painkillers.
2. My husband will drive me to the nearest hypermarket.
3. He will have a rest and pick me up in 2 hours.
今日の計画：
1. 近くの薬局に行き夫用の痛み止めを購入する。
2. 夫が運転して近くのハイパーマーケットに行く。
3. 私が２時間くらい買い物するので、
夫はその間家に戻り休憩し、その後私を迎えに来る。
However, the plan changed a bit.
The chemist we went to suggested
my husband should see a doctor.
So they kindly made an appointment and
we were able to go to the doctor (and see her) immediately!
(Very different from the Irish health system--
I mean the French system is much better....)
しかしながら、計画が少々変更した。
薬局に行ったら、
痛み止めを買うのではなく医者に行くべきだと
アドバイスされ、その場で医者の予約を入れてくれたのだ。
そしてほとんど待たずに医者の診察を受けることができた。
（色々と面倒なアイルランドの医療システム
とは大違いで、二人で大感動。）
The shopping was very disappointing....
The hypermarket was big,
but I couldn't find most of the things I was looking for.
買い物はなんか失敗だった。
ハイパーマーケットは大きかったが、
私が買いたいものはほとんどなかった...。
What I bought:
Korean pickles, korean seaweed chips,
Japanese rice crackers and English tea....
Foreign staff which is difficult to buy in Ireland.
買ったもの：
キムチ、韓国製の海草チップス、
歌舞伎揚（大阪ではぼんち揚だ）、イギリスの紅茶。
アイルランドで買いにくい外国のものばかり...。
At least my husband was able to see the doctor.
The French doctor system was very different.
After the consultation, we had to pay the doctor
in cash in her consulting room.
We assumed we would have to pay at the reception,
so we couldn't understand why the doctor kept asking
"Are you paying me?"...
フランスの医療システムはかなり
日本やアイルランドと違っていた。
診察後、診察室で直接医者に
現金を払うシステムなのであった。
我々は受付で支払うとばかり思っていたので
診察後に先生が
「支払ってください」と言い続けるのが
不思議でならなかった😅
