Summer Holiday in France 2023 Day 1

 

Last year, I neglected to update the blog on holiday.

But this year, I will make an effort to update it

as timely as possible.

去年は旅行中にちゃんとブログを更新せず、

後で思い出すのに苦労したので、

今年はきちんと旅行中に

更新していこうと思う。

This year, we took a boat from Rosslare to Cherbourg.

We wanted to go to La Rochelle again,

but we thought Miffy couldn't cope with a long drive,

so we decided to stay in La Manche, Normandie.

今年はロスレアからシェルブールまで

フェリーに乗った。

本当は去年と同じように

ラ・ロシェルに行きたかったが、

老齢のミッフィーが長距離の運転に

耐えられないと考え、

シェルブールから近い、ノルマンディーの

マンシュ県に滞在することにした。

We had a bit of problem on the boat.

The boat had a engine trouble after midnight and

stopped in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean

for about 1 hour....

フェリーでは少し問題が発生した。

夜中に大西洋のど真ん中で

フェリーのエンジンが停止して、

そのまま1時間ほど浮いている状態に

なってしまったのだ。

According to my husband who went to see

what was going on,

the cabin crew started to prepare 

the rescue boats!!

客室を出て様子を見に行った夫によると、

乗務員が救助ボートの準備を始めていたそうだ！！

In the end, the boat's engine started again,

and we arrived at Cherbourg safely.

結局、エンジンの調子が戻り、

無事にシェルブールに到着した。
