In the morning,
we went on a drive to Lessay
to see an old Abbey.
It was a brief outing
as we left Miffy resting at home.
午前中は
レセという街までドライブし
11世紀に建てられた
教会を見に行った。
ミッフィーはお留守番だったので
教会を見ただけで帰宅した。
Almost everything was closed
in this town and it was very quiet.
Most shop owners are
on holiday in September,
after summer.
この街のほとんどの店は
閉まっていてすごく静かだった。
忙しい夏が終わり、
皆9月に休暇を取るようだ。
After lunch,
my husband went on a cycling tour,
and I stayed home with Miffy.
昼食後、
夫はレンタルした自転車で
出かけた。
私はミッフィーと宿に残った。
I contacted our vet in Dublin
to make an appointment so that
we can take Miffy there
immediately after we arrive in Ireland.
今日ダブリンの獣医に連絡し、
事情を説明して
我々がアイルランドに着いたら
そのまま診察してもらえるよう
予約を入れた。
We haven't been eating out so much
on this holiday,
so we started investigating
the restaurant situations near our house.
今回の旅行では
ほとんど外食していないので、
宿の近くのレストランについて
色々調査することにした。
Basically, there isn't
a decent restaurant nearby.
We had seen a sign "Brasserie"
near the supermarket,
but in this case this "Brasserie"
is a brewer.
基本的に近くには
良さそうなレストランは全くなかった。
よく行くスーパーの近くに
「ブラッスリー」という看板が
出ていたので
徒歩で見に行くと、
いわゆる「飲み屋」であった。
Today's dessert is Paris-Breast again,
as we didn't go to our favourite bakery.
今日のデザートは
パリ・ブレスト。
お気に入りのベーカリーには
行かなかったからだ。
