Summer Holiday in France 2023 Day 8

  

According to the weather forecast,

this unusual hot September weather

will end today.

I've been really enjoying it.

天気予報によると

9月のこの異常な暑さも

今日で終わるということだ。

私にとっては残念だ。

In the morning, we went to 

the market in Barneville-Carteret.

It was incredibly crowded.

午前中は

バルヌヴィル・カルトゥレの

マーケットに出かけた。

ものすごい人だった。

My husband talking to a stall owner

who forages wild fruits/plants

and makes jam, honey, aroma oil, etc.

夫が、野生の果物や草木等を

使ってジャムや蜂蜜、

アロマオイルを作る

店のオーナーさんとお話し中。

And we bought these:

elderberry jam, honey made from wild flowers,

and aroma oil made from St John's wort.

結局これらを購入：

エルダーベリーのジャム、

野生の花の蜂蜜、そして

セイヨウオトギリのアロマオイル。

The owner's wife's 

lovely crocheted bag.

I'd love to make something like this.

オーナーさんの

奥さんのかぎ針編みで

できた可愛いバッグ。

こんなの作ってみたいな。

After lunch, 

my husband went out for a swim.

I stayed in to look after Miffy

and watch the Rugby World Cup match

between Ireland and Romania.

昼食後、

夫はビーチに泳ぎに行き、

私は宿に残って

ミッフィーの世話をしながら

ラグビーW杯の

アイルランド対ルーマニア戦を見た。

Ireland beat Romania by a large margin,

but I liked the Romanian uniform.

Its sleeves has Romanian embroidery.

アイルランドが大勝したが、

個人的にはルーマニアの

ユニフォームの袖に

ルーマニア刺繍が施してあり

いいと思った。

Then before dinner,

we went for a walk with Miffy

to Cap de Carteret.

その後夕食前に

ミッフィーを連れて

Cap de Carteretまで散歩した。

It was very very nice.
